Sophia Reza was born in El Paso, Texas. Sophia left when she was four to Houston, Texas where she grew up.
Her love for current events and writing led her to pursue a degree in journalism. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 1997 with a Broadcast Journalism degree. One month later Sophia landed in San Angelo, Texas as a reporter/producer. One year later, she moved to Amarillo, Texas to anchor the morning show and report for the ABC affliate. Then, one year and four months later Sophia finally had the opportunity to come back to El Paso and report.
